Reflections on a moldy coffee pot

I love coffee. I love the smell, the taste, the color, the warmth. I love sharing the joy of coffee with others. I love making a full pot of coffee at work and offering a delicious cup to my coworkers.

It makes me very very sad when I witness the neglect of communal coffee makers. And I also feel partially to blame as I have walked by this very coffee maker thinking "someone else did this, someone else should deal with cleaning it".

A coworker stepped up to clean it (with gloves) and I felt relieved.... And guilty.
